園芸植物を研究材料として、植物の生殖成長と成熟（花芽～花～果実）に着目した“生理機能”、“機能性成分”、“遺伝子機能”の研究を進めています。果樹類をはじめとした木本性の植物を主な研究対象として扱っています。果実成熟のメカニズム解明、果樹の生殖生理機能の解明、西条柿やブドウの機能性成分分析、植物の繁殖・再生機能の利用（組織培養技術）、バラ科植物ゲノムと遺伝子機能解析

Pomology and Viticulture lab is focusing on the reproductive physiology in woody horticultural plants. Grapes, persimmons (Kaki),  and flowering cherries (Sakura) are main targets for our research. We study the flower and fruit develepment of these species with analyzing gene expression and physiological changes behind the development.

 ブドウ・カキ・サクラを材料に研究を進めています。植物の生理メカニズムの探求、園芸作物のバイオテクノロジー、それらを利用したオリジナル品種の開発や生産付加価値の向上を目指しています。果樹や花木における花成と開花制御、果実の発達、隔年結果機構の探求といった“生殖生理”に関するトピックスを中心に扱っています。
