メッセージ
「こころ」とは何かあやふやで掴み所がないような気がしますよね。かの有名なデカルトも身体とは別の特別なものと考えていました。
ですが，脳の仕組みが明らかにつれ，脳の中の神経細胞の連携が「こころ」の状態と深く関わることが明らかになってきています。言い換えると，脳の仕組みが全て明らかになれば，「こころ」とは何かという答えに到達することができるということかもしれません。
私自身，「こころ」は特別なものであって欲しいという気持ちはあるものの，それが何かをはっきりさせたいという思いの方が強く研究を続けている毎日です。
そして，その研究を支えてくれているのが科学・技術です。心理学コースには脳波計などの装置も設置されており，リラックス状態と集中している状況では異なる脳波が現れることを観察することができます。
