Faculty of Life and Environmental Science
The Faculty of Life and Environmental Science was established in
its present configuration in October, 1995. The Faculty consists of five
departments: Biological Science, Ecology and Environmental Science, Life
Science and Biotechnology, Agriculture, and Regional Development. Three
institutes originally attached to the faculty (Marine Biological Station,
University Farms, and University Forests) were reorganized in 1997 to form
the Education and Research Center for Biological Resources (Forest Science,
Agricultural Science and of Marine Biological Science sections).
